- Skate Then Create - Recycled Skateboard Goods
I take Skateboards that were headed to the Landfill and turn them into home goods, jewelry, furniture, and more!

My name is Alexis. I am a skateboarder and woodworker. Born and raised in Queens, New York, I built skate boxes and ramps as a teenager. In my 20s, I started getting into woodworking, making furniture for myself and friends.
When wood prices rose during the pandemic, I started using skateboards and discovered their natural beauty. I work with local skaters and skateshops to collect their used skateboards so I can repurpose them and give them a second life outside the skate park.
Skateboards as they are made from quality maple hardwood. They are also non-recyclable due to their various materials (griptape, glue, dyes, paint) So rather than letting them end up in the trash, I started collecting them and show the world how beautiful skateboards are and what they can become.
